Dubai to build World's Tallest Arch Bridge
They do things differently in Dubai. They like their stuff bigger, taller, and more expensive than anywhere else. So it only makes sense that the world's tallest arch bridge would be bult there. This bridge, envisioned by NY architecture firm Fxfowle, will be the largest and tallest arch bridge in the world, at one mile long and 670 feet tall. Construction is due to wrap up in 2012 after running some $817 million dollars.

Artificial islands arranged in the shape of the world? Check. The world's only seven-star hotel? Check. And in 2012, it will also become home to the largest, tallest arch bridge ever. It really looks beautiful and amazing, Dubai is building very fast. 
The bridge (which is called the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Crossing, also known as Sixth Crossing) will link the localities of Bur Dubai and Al Jaddaf. THe bridge would have a carrying capacity of 20,000 vehicles per hour with its six lanes in each direction. The plan is to have a track for Dubai Metro's green line in the center.
